About Bobbi

At Bodywork by Bobbi my mission is to bring high quality professional massage services to the Rochester community, while elevating the perception of the profession of massage therapy.

In the video below, I talk about how I approach massage therapy, which is very different than the average LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist).

I began my private massage practice in 2008 just out of massage school. After keeping a journal of my personal massage experiences here in the Rochester area, I soon felt disappointed at the lack of professionalism exuded by too many private practice therapists, along with the sub par experience as a whole. So, I set out to make a change by providing an unparalleled massage experience for my clients.

After being in business for the past 13 years, it has been and continues to be a source of joy to help people feel good. I love getting to know my clients and supporting them throughout life’s ups & downs.

Your Experience

At Bodywork by Bobbi, you are not just another client.  You’re my priority.

Upon entering, I welcome you to feel… Become aware of the sense of peace and belonging…

The warm, comforting atmosphere is only the beginning of your experience. I build trusting relationships with each of my clients in order to better understand how I can help you receive the most from massage.

Bodywork by Bobbi is your safe space let go of your stresses. Open, honest communication is the key to superior quality massage therapy and I encourage you to always communicate your needs, likes, and dislikes. If there is anything I can do to make your massage experience better for you, I want to know about it!

After your session, I encourage you to share your experience. I will also let you know what I noticed. We’ll work together on how to improve for the next session. (For example, you might say you’d like more work in specific area, I might suggest a stretch or two.) This is how we cultivate bodywork of the highest order.

Despite what you’ve probably heard, drinking water after a massage does not flush out toxins released by massage. It is however, important for your body to be properly hydrated, so I suggest drinking plenty of water daily.

Try not to schedule too many things after your session. Plan to go home and really enjoy the after glow of therapeutic touch. You’ll be glad you did!

About Me

In addition to my four year college education, I received my massage certification at the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in Rochester‘s Village Gate. New York State’s 1000 hour program is the most comprehensive in the country, as not all states regulate massage. While in school, I fell in love with pregnancy massage. So, after taking the boards and receiving my license, I continued my education to become trained through DONA International as a birth Doula. I’ve trained with Infant Massage USA, to become an Infant Massage Instructor. And, most recently, became an Arvigo Maya Abdominal Massage practitioner.

I believe massage therapy connects our mind, body, and spirit in a way that allows us to live up to our fullest potential- to live a healthy life full of love and happiness.

I’ve always been fascinated by pregnancy, birth, and the transition to motherhood. Women going through the transitional time of pregnancy and motherhood, deserve and need supportive, compassionate care from other women. I believe that pregnancy is a beautiful journey- physically, emotionally, and spiritually- if you open yourself and allow it to be. The care I provide to my expecting mommas encompasses all of these aspects and honors you for the individual you are and where you are at. There is no bigger honor than supporting a woman throughout this journey.

My clients become more and more like family, each time they visit my office. I look forward to supporting you and making you a part of my massage family!
