About bobbi

"I was told from a young age that I could do anything I wanted when I grew up. So I knew that one day, I would do amazing things. Someday, I would touch peoples lives in ways that were talked about, yet seemed impossible. Until I found massage therapy. Until I started Bodywork by Bobbi."

Mission Statement

I am committed to providing massage, bodywork, and pertaining wellness advice to my clients in a nurturing, supportive, and empowering environment in order to establish and maintain relaxation, clarity, growth, repair, and harmony within each aspect of their body, soul, and mind. I am dedicated to developing a professional and compassionate relationship with each of my clients in order to help guide them along their personal health journey.

Who I am

Originally from the Ithaca, NY area, I graduated from Alfred State College with a degree in Entrepreneurship knowing that one day I would own my own business. After graduating, I moved to Rochester with the intent of continuing at another college, but soon fell into the feeling of not knowing what it was that I wanted out of Life. After a few years, I was introduced to massage therapy. I fell in love. As soon as my education began, I knew that this was exactly what I was meant to be doing.

Touch people. Touch hearts. Touch lives.

I graduated from the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage here in Rochester, where my 1000 hour New York State program rigorously consisted of Anatomy & Physiology, Myology, Pathology, Swedish, Orthopedic Treatments, and multiple other related courses.

Throughout my initial studies, and through continuing education, I have built a strong foundation of beliefs about personal health and wellness. I truly believe everyone should have a basic understanding on how the human body works. Since you only have ONE body, you need to know how to take care of it. I've learned, and now know, that massage therapy is highly beneficial for every individuals personal health journey. By focusing on the anatomical and physiological health of your body, along with a subtle focus on your body's energy, it is my goal to help you in obtaining and maintaining optimal health.

I greatly appreciate being raised around strong women in my family, and am very thankful that it has made me the woman who I am today. However, I also understand that not every girl grows up with such empowerment surrounding them, so today I hope to help women find their voices and inner strength. I want to empower women to find their inner Goddess and support them on this journey.

I currently live in Rochester with my partner, our two dogs (a miniature schnauzer Schotzee, and a papillion Frank). If I'm not working at my office or from home, you will likely find me at the Rochester Public Market (my 'happy place'), reading, camping, walking my dogs, drinking tea, or spending time with friends and family!

(Please note that I share so much about myself here because I strongly believe that you need to be comfortable with your therapist, in order to build a professional and compassionate relationship. I've found it helps my clients to know a little more about me before they get onto my massage table.)
